Letter from the Under Secretary General
Dear Delegates,
With immense pleasure, I welcome each one of you to the tenth iteration of Shishukunj Model United Nations Conference. I, Vedika Jain, am pleased to serve as the Under Secretary General- General Assembly.
With a creative soul and adventurous spirit, I embark on life’s journey with compassion and curiosity. Driven by a passion for helping others, I’m fascinated by the world’s intricacies. I am a 12th grader studying PCM with computer science. I love to travel and pour my heart out through colors on canvas. My MUN journey started as a scared, confused, and nervous delegate who was hesitant to speak. From being a delegate to bureau member and now as an Under Secretary General, this journey has been a transformative experience, honing my diplomatic skills, broadening global perspective, and fueling my passion for public speaking. I am sure Shishukunj MUN will end up being very close to your heart just like mine.
MUN is a platform for young brains to engage in constructive dialogue and develop practical solutions to pressing global challenges. The theme “Samprikti – bridges to a better world,” perfectly captures the essence of global diplomacy, unity, cooperation, innovation, diplomacy, and encapsulates the core values of MUN. This theme encourages delegates to forge connections between nations, cultures, ideologies and promote cultural understanding and empathy.
At the core of the United Nations lies the General Assembly. GA compromises six main committees with 193 member states having an equal voice. The General Assembly is committed to advancing global peace, harmony, and unity which reflects the true essence of the United Nations. Shishukunj MUN’s eight committees, under GA offer a dynamic platform with diverse agendas for delegates to showcase their diplomatic prowess by navigating complex issues.
To address these pressing global issues, the world needs your diplomatic approach and innovative solutions. By participating in this MUN, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and foster knowledge. Let’s embark on this journey to learn, grow, shape the future of global diplomacy, and create unforgettable memories together. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
I am always there to help you, feel free to approach me regarding any queries.
Vedika Jain, Under Secretary General – General Assembly

Letter from the Under Secretary General
Namaste,
I am Rajveer Kapoor of Class XII G, serving as your Under Secretary General for the General Assembly for the decennial edition of the Shishukunj Model United Nations 2025!
This year’s theme – Samprikti; bridges to a better world, shows us how we can build harmonious relations with those around us by bridging the gap between our differences, our issues, and finding a common goal and finding unity in purpose. This year, The General Assembly has seven committees and agendas; both in the present and the past- from the protection of heritage sites in UNESCO to literally retracing events leading to the 1967 Arab Israeli War in C-24, we are set to have you ready for three days of intense debate, complex discussions and meaningful decisions, as the world ticks closer to midnight on the doomsday clock.
This year’s Model United Nations Conference is the closest one to my heart, because not only does it mark 10 whole years of Shishukunj hosting it’s most awaited event, but also because it fulfills the dream of what Rajveer Kapoor in grade 8 in his first Shishukunj Model United Nations conference saw as a delegate whilst being a delegate in the committee DISEC; to be the Under Secretary General for the General Assembly.
4 years, many successes and failures later, I am proud to say that the foundation that got me into Model United Nations, has me at one of its most anticipated positions – The Secretariat. So, let these 3 days be enriching for all of you, let the gavel fall, let the voices echo through the halls. I wish all of you godspeed for this Model United Nations Conference!
