Letter from the Secretary General
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
We had conferences, and then, we had legacies.
For over a decade, The Shishukunj MUN has sought to be the latter - a place where your commitment to consensus, and the attitude to pursue what you believe in, matters the most.
At SISMUN, you become part of something larger than just a three-day Conference. For these three days, what you bring to the table determines what you take away from it.
And this year, for the 11th iteration, from new-age imperialism to questions of sovereignty, conflict, and power, SISMUN 2026 presents a world increasingly unwilling to offer easy compromise. From the Cabinet of India drawing lines that will shape a nation’s future, to the Allied Reconstruction Assembly navigating superpower rivalry at the height of ideological confrontation, and for the first time ever, the Impact Challenge, this conference is built to deter convention.
Our objective is not to simply organize a conference, but to create a legacy that is difficult to describe until one becomes a part of it. Every detail corrected and every standard upheld, this conference reflects the same ambition and dedication that define the institution hosting it.
When I walked in my committee 4 years back, SISMUN for me was the people I met, the seniors I looked upto and the gavel I wished to have.
So as you sit in the same rooms and walk the same corridors, do something that I didn’t – Inherit. Inherit the past with acceptance, inherit the knowledge of the present and inherit, the power of the future.
With this, It is with immense pride that I, Jahnvi Julka, The Secretary General, welcome you all to the 11th iteration of the Shishukunj Model United Nations, 2026.
As you arrive at Shishukunj this year, debate all you can, work as much possible and speak all you want, for you, are part of a legacy, waiting to be defined.

Dear Delegates
Every generation inherits a world shaped by those before it; its legacy is defined by the choices it makes. Ours carries a unique responsibility, not merely to inherit that world, but to reimagine it. The conversations we choose to have today, the perspectives we embrace, and the courage with which we defend our convictions will shape the future. With this belief, I warmly welcome you to the 11th edition of Shishukunj Model United Nations.
Seven years ago, I walked into my first committee believing that Model United Nations was about debate. I soon realized that debate is only the medium; the true lesson lies in learning to understand before seeking to be understood. Throughout my journey as a delegate and a member of the Executive Board, I discovered that diplomacy is not measured by how eloquently one speaks, but by how thoughtfully one listens, how respectfully one disagrees, and how willingly one continues to learn.
This year's theme, "You(th); R.I.S.E.—Responsibility, Innovation, Sustainability, and Equity," is more than a collection of ideals. It reminds us that leadership is not reserved for the future; it belongs to those who choose to act today. While we cannot always determine the direction of the winds around us, we can always choose how we adjust our sails. It is this mindset that transforms uncertainty into opportunity and ideas into meaningful action.
Over the next three days, committee rooms will become spaces where disagreement inspires dialogue instead of division, curiosity outweighs certainty, and every speech carries the potential
to change perspectives. Whether this is your first conference or one among many, approach every session with an open mind and unwavering respect for the diversity of thought that defines this conference.
As this conference unfolds, may you discover that the greatest achievement is not proving your point, but broadening your perspective. Debate with conviction, listen with humility, and leave with the courage to lead beyond these committee rooms.

Letter from the Associate Secretary General
Dear delegates
Every delegate has a conference they never forget. For some, it is their very first; for others, it is the one that changes the way they see Model United Nations altogether. It becomes more than committee sessions and resolutions, it becomes an experience that builds confidence, broadens perspectives and creates memories that last well beyond the closing ceremony. I hope that, for many of you, Shishukunj MUN 2026 becomes that conference.
This edition has been thoughtfully designed to bring together fresh committees, engaging agendas and opportunities that encourage every participant to think critically, collaborate meaningfully and challenge themselves. Whether you are stepping into a committee room for the first time or returning as an experienced delegate, I encourage you to make the most of every discussion, every debate and every conversation.
Remember that the true spirit of an MUN lies not only in the awards you strive for, but in the ideas you exchange, the friendships you build and the confidence you discover along the way. Speak with conviction, listen with respect and never hesitate to embrace a new perspective, you may leave the conference having learned something that extends far beyond international relations.
