Agenda Statement : Deliberating on Improving Access to Maternal and Child Healthcare Facilities with Special Emphasis on Developing Countries
Our future generations are ours to protect. With growing threats of new found diseases and increasing child and mother mortality rates, the future is in danger. That is where we come in. The World Health Organisation, WHO, is keen on shielding tomorrow’s leaders from early deaths, problematic childhoods and unnecessary ups and downs in life. Our agenda “Deliberating on Improving Material and Child Healthcare Facilities with Special Emphasis on Developing Countries” helps today’s leaders build provisions for their descendants. The committee will discuss five broad sub topics which will cover all aspects to help children and their mothers across the world. Delegates are expected to give substantial and innovative solutions for the same.Letter from Chairperson
Dear delegates,
It brings me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you all at the 10th iteration of the Shishukunj Model United Nations. I, Gaayatri Makhija, am privileged to take on the role of chairperson for the World Health Organisation(WHO). From starting my journey as an inexperienced delegate back in 6th grade to now serving as the chairperson for WHO, the Shishukunj MUN has given me a chance to perfect myself in several skills which I hope I can do for you all this year as well.
With growing population and poverty levels, we now need to take utmost care of expecting and existing mothers as well as their children to build a strong youth for the next generation. The agenda “Deliberating on Improving Access to Maternal and Child Healthcare Facilities with Special Emphasis on Developing Countries” will allow you as future leaders to better around-the-world healthcare systems to give each child the opportunity to build and showcase his or her potential to the fullest.
I hope all delegates will take this as a scope to come forward with well-formulated research on all subtopics as well as the agenda and original and creative solutions for the committee. Looking forward to meeting all the delegates, and do not hesitate to reach out to me in case of any queries. All the very best to all of you!
Gaayatri Makhija, Chairperson of the World Health Organisation
